The Beach!!

Finally, our long awaited trip to Florida! What a great time!

We started the week at our favorite condo on the beach with Rick's parents, and this time, my folks were able to join us too. Both sets of grandparents! Yahoo! And, Rick's brother came by with his girlfriend, April, that we finally got to meet for the first time. We arranged for my Uncle to come take pics since it's so rare to have all of us together (besides wanting to get to see Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Dave). 15 minutes before the photo session began, Zach took a dive and badly scraped his knees. Tired boy, scraped knees, and sand did not make for many good pictures with him! But there are a few. Unfortunately, we lost track and didn't get all the "groupings" I had hoped for, but the pics we do have are great! Many thanks to Uncle Dave!

As for the rest of the stay, we spent so much time playing we took very few pictures! The kids LOVED LOVED LOVED the pool, and playing in the sand. They weren't so crazy about being in the gulf.

We left the condo and my folks mid week, and headed back to Rick's parents home. Spent a fun day at the zoo and a couple days just hanging out around the house. As always, just a great time.

Easter and an Extended Ohio Visit

(Yes, still catching up...) My friend Melanie is always coming up with the most creative ideas... for Easter, she invited us and another family over to create "Resurrection Gardens." Aside from being a lot of fun, it made such a great and visible aid to teach the kids about Christ's Passion. On Friday we talked about Jesus' death and put a little cloth inside the tomb, representing Jesus' burial. Then we kept checking all evening Friday and all day Saturday, but it was still there. Then Sunday morning, before the kids got up, we took out the cloth and moved the "stone". They ran straight out to check it when they woke up and were so excited to see that it was empty! Such a great visual aid! We still use it to help answer questions about Jesus. Thanks, Melanie.



Took the kids to visit my folks in Ohio after Easter. A five day trip turned in to 10 when we all got a bad case of crud while there. Nevertheless, there was plenty of fun to be had...

Zach and Dad had special time every morning (Zach's my early riser, and Dad would get up with him so I could go back to bed for a couple more hours. It was WONDERFUL!)

Kaitlyn began experimenting with climbing trees. She's actually only a few feet off the ground, but looks much higher at first glance!

Just realized I'd never posted a couple of my fav pics of the kids from a beautiful Spring day at the park...

That was one of those "so good to be out of the house after a long cold winter" kind of days.

What's a Ball?

So, at Kaitlyn's 4 year well child checkup, they give an aptitude test to check the child's development. Part of it asked for definitions of simple words... table, book, etc. When asked "What is a ball?" Kaitlyn's reply was, "You dance at it!" That's my princess. All the way!!

Happy 4th Birthday, Kaitlyn

Can't believe she's 4. 3 is still carries a bit of "baby" with it. With 4, it's all big girl. And she's ready to prove it!

We enjoyed a fun gathering with a few friends to help us celebrate. The kids were so tired by the end of the day they couldn't even see straight!

So thankful for a beautiful day and the Moss's bounce house!
